Gwinnett firm creates scholarship in bar association’s honor

3:25 pm, May 12th, 2011

A Gwinnett County law firm is coordinating a fundraiser to create an endowed scholarship in the name of the Gwinnett County Bar Association at Georgia Gwinnett College.

The new scholarship is aimed at helping incoming, first-generation college students pay for school.

Andersen, Tate & Carr kicked off the fundraiser at the county bar’s Law Day on April 29 with a $5,000 pledge. Mahaffey, Pickens & Tucker also made a $5,000 pledge.

For more information about the scholarship fundraising drive, contact Andersen, Tate & Carr founding partner Thomas J. Andersen or Gwinnett Bar President-Elect R. Matthew Reeves, also a partner at the firm, at (770) 822-0900.
