28 try for Cobb Superior seat

The Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission has released the names of 28 lawyers nominated to fill the position of Cobb County Superior Court Judge George Kreeger, who has announced plans to retire at the end of September.

Nominations are now closed. Application packages with questionnaires are due by Aug. 31. The commission will meet to interview applicants after September 10 in order to send Governor Nathan Deal a short list of candidates.

    Rob Leonard (current Cobb State Court Judge) was appointed today.
