Fayette County State Court judge sought

Governor Nathan Deal’s Judicial Nominating Commission has begun its search for a new Fayette County State Court judge following the governor’s appointment of Carla Wong McMillian to the state Court of Appeals earlier this month.
The JNC is accepting nominations through Feb. 11, according to its vacancy notice. Names may be submitted via email to dana.mcguire@troutmansanders.com; fax to (404) 962-6919; or mail to Judicial Nominating Commission, c/o Dana McGuire, 600 Peachtree N.E., Suite 5200, Atlanta, GA 30308-2216.
The JNC will send application packets to each nominee, which must be returned by Feb. 25. The commission will interview applicants some time after March 11.
